MAC with Feedback
نویسنده
چکیده
For point-to-point discrete memoryless channels, feedback does not increase capacity. However, for multiple-access discrete memoryless channels, feedback can increase capacity. The capacity epression for MAC with feedback, known in terms of directed information, is non-computable. Single-letter inner bounds have been given by Cover-Le-ung and Bross-Lapidoth. The Bross-Lapidoth region contains Cover-Leung region and is some cases, this inclusion is strict. When one channel input is a function of the other input and the channel output, Cover-Leung region is the feedback capaity region. Cover-Leung region is achievable when there is feedback to only one encoder. This report is a summary of various results about capacity of MAC with feedback.

On the Capacity of the Vector MAC and BC with Feedback
We determine the feedback capacity region of a two user Gaussian multiple access channel (MAC) with multiple antennas at the base station and a single antenna at each user. The vector MAC and broadcast channels (BC) with a single antenna at the base station and multiple antennas at each user are shown to be equivalent to scalar MACs and BCs, respectively. We also determine the capacity enhancem...
متن کاملM ay 2 00 8 Outer Bounds for Multiple Access Channels with Feedback using Dependence Balance ∗
We use the idea of dependence balance [1] to obtain a new outer bound for the capacity region of the discrete memoryless multiple access channel with noiseless feedback (MAC-FB). We consider a binary additive noisy MAC-FB whose feedback capacity is not known. The binary additive noisy MAC considered in this paper can be viewed as the discrete counterpart of the Gaussian MAC-FB. Ozarow [2] estab...
متن کاملOn the Capacity of Multiple Access Channels with State Information and Feedback
In this paper, the multiple access channel (MAC) with channel state is analyzed in a scenario where a) the channel state is known non-causally to the transmitters and b) there is perfect causal feedback from the receiver to the transmitters. An achievable region and an outer bound are found for a discrete memoryless MAC that extend existing results, bringing together ideas from the two separate...
متن کاملMultiple Access Channel with Feedback
Multiple access channel with feedback is an extension of classical MAC, by providing senders with ability to observe the channel output. The capacity region in the general case is not known. This report presents the main results of [1] by Cover and Leung, which is a region of achievable rates exceeding the capacity region of classical MAC (section 3). Since the coding technique used in [1] reli...
متن کاملA Survey of The Multiple Access Channel with a discussion of the capacity regions for the Memoryless MAC and MAC with Fading
The Multiple Access Channel, or the MAC channel, is a simple multi-terminal channel model where m users attempt to communicate independent information over a noisy channel to a single receiver. This is a common model for different communication systems including the reverse link of the cellular channel, the uplink of a satellite channel, a computer network with a central monitoring hub/server e...
